Salt Lake Field Trial in the Unitas Mountains

Gus in the holding blind getting ready to run the open.

The field trial game is 90% standing around with a few moments of excitement and performance by the dog and the handler.

Gus and Eric sending for the next retrieve in a incredibly beautiful backdrop at 10,000 ft of altitude.  The sage brush makes it difficult for the dog to stay on line.

This is Rudy’s home away from home on the dog truck while Eric is on the road.

I love this part of the country with all the Aspens so thick even the sun has a hard time penetrating.

At this time of year the wildflowers are blooming and carpeting the ground.

Downtown Evanston, Wyoming on a rainy day.  This town was founded in the 1800′s as a railroad stop.

This is the scene of the prettiest water blind and 4th series that Rudy has ever run. I believe the elevation was about 11,000 ft.  I was pleased that he was one of hte only dogs to do a good job and won 2nd place in the amateur.

Lorna Kolstad runs the water blind in this gorgeous pond past the beaver dam and up the hill.

stephanie - Brother,
these are really amazing pictures! I had just said aloud that building with Courtney looked just like Harry Potter, then read your caption! Amazing experiences. .
